The Pinker Tones is a duo formed in 2001 in Barcelona when Alex Llovet and Salvador Rey joined forces and became Professor Manso and Mister Furia. Since then they have worked as composers, arrangers and producers on their own projects and on other artists', collaborating with musicians from all over the world.

They have released five original albums in more than 50 countries: The Bcn Connection (2003), The Million Colour Revolution (2006), Wild Animals (2008), Modular (2010), Life In Stereo (2012), and a double album of remixes: More Colours! (2007) -where they worked with Moreno Veloso, MIS, Konishi Yasuharu, Ursula 1000, Kinky, Nortec Collective, Torpedo Boyz, Alejandro Acosta or The Submarines amongst others-, a singles compilation: Singles 2001-2011 (2011),  a live album recorded in New York: Live From Soho (2007), and a Christmas EP: Christmass in Four Moods (2011).

In 2010, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, the tribute album “Amigos & Friends” was released, in which local and international bands made covers of The Pinker Tones’ discography. The album includes performances by Love of Lesbian, Depedro, Carlos Jean, Zahara, Maika Makovski, Miqui Puig, Delafé y Las Flores Azules, Cathy Claret, Virigina Labuat, Pecker, Tom Tom Club, Shuarma, Eric Bobo and Berto Romero.

All these projects have led to more than 500 concerts in festivals and venues on all five continents, among those one of the longest tour ever attempted by a Spanish indy band in the USA: the 2008 Vans Warped Tour which took them to 45 American and Canadian cities in 54 days, allways with the invaluable collaboration of Dj.Niño "the third pinkertone".

In 2011 the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona invited TPT to participate in a collective exhibition called GENIUS LOCI, for which they decide to conceptually recreate their song "Sampléame", which deals with with one of the most breaking artistic disciplines of the 21st century, sampling.

In 2012 TPT developed a platform called Free Music Fridays, on which they gave away one free track on Twitmusic and Soundcloud for almost two years, uploading a total of 65 tracks, including remixes, covers, mash-ups and original songs.

During all these years, TPT have also worked as producers for other artists both recording and arranging songs and whole albums, as well as doing remixes: The Beastie Boys, Tom Tom Club, Rosalía, Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill), Salvador Santana Band, Josh Rouse, Kinky, Plastilina Mosh, DePedro, Delafé y las Flores Azules, Labuat (Risto Mejide & Virginia Maestro), Pecker and Manuel Fernández amongst others.

TPT have also received awards and recognition along their career. Highlights being:  “Nuevo Talento FNAC” in 2003, 6th best album according to Amazon.com for “The Million Colour Revolution” in 2006, Best electronic song for S.E.X.Y.R.O.B.O.T at  “Premios de la Música” in 2009, Best video clip for “Tokyo” at the FIVECC de Alicante Film Festival in 2011, or Best Musical Project for “LEON” at the “Premi Puig Porret” together with Quartet Brossa in 2017.
